The history of the R\u00edas Baixas Designation of Origin is, in essence, the story of Bodegas Chaves. A family legacy that flourished thanks to the vision of Jos\u00e9 Chaves, son of C\u00e1ndido, who in the 1980s saw unique potential in our Galician land. This dream began among the vineyards, where the Albari\u00f1o grape, with its exceptional organoleptic properties, promised to revolutionize the world of wine.<\/p>

Jos\u00e9, at the helm of Bodegas Chaves, and along with seven other pioneering wineries, initiated a movement that changed the course of our viticulture. The dream materialized in 1980, when the Albari\u00f1o Specific Denomination was officially recognized in the Official State Gazette, October 11<\/a>. Four years later, in 1984, the regulations that created the Regulatory Council were approved. And finally, in 1988, the Ministry of Agriculture, Fisheries and Food ratified the R\u00edas Baixas Denomination of Origin<\/a>, marking a milestone in the history of Spanish wine.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/section>\n\t\t\t\t
