What food pairs well with this wine?

In general, we advise against pairing this type of wine with very spicy or strongly flavored foods, but it goes very well with the following dishes:

Galician-style octopus and ham hock with turnip greensTwo essential elements of Galician cuisine that couldn't be missing from this list. A perfect combination as long as the paprika used isn't excessively spicy.

SeafoodWhenever we think of a good seafood platter, it should be accompanied by an excellent Albariño wine. Velvet crabs, spider crabs, langoustines, oysters, and mussels are a perfect match.

MeatsThis wine is ideal for white meats, especially poultry. The pairing will be enhanced if you add a butter or cream-based sauce to the meat, along with citrus notes, mustard, or herbs like tarragon.

As for other types of meat, we recommend slightly fatty cuts and make a bold suggestion: try a good suckling pig with this type of wine. You'll be surprised.

FishChoose fish that have a high gelatin content, such as turbot, cod, tuna, or some good hake or cod cheeks in pil-pil sauce.

CheesesExcellent for pairing with cheeses made from goat's milk. We don't recommend it for strong cheeses, as their flavor will overpower the wine's.

Rice dishes: perfect for risottos, creamy rice dishes or fish rice dishes.

Japanese foodSushi and sushi make a good pair. sashimi or the tuna tataki with Albariño wine.

* This is a suggestion; remember that wine tasting and pairing is a personal matter, so we encourage you to experiment with the versatility of this wine and share your suggestions with us.
